Mumbai City FC sign Frenchman Nicolas Anelka for inaugural ISL season

Mumbai City FC have signed Frenchman Nicolas Anelka for the inaugural season of the Hero Indian Super League (ISL).

“I’m pleased to join Mumbai City FC and very exciting in joining Indian Super League,” the 35 year old striker announced on his official Facebook page. “Talented international players and top Indian talent will make matches thrilling affairs.”

“I look forward to using my ability to do well for my team in the matches we will play,” Anelka added.

Anelka won the UEFA Euro 2000 with the French national team besides winning various titles at club level. He has played for various premier clubs including Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal, Real Madrid, Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea.
