Nepal announce Nehru Cup probables

The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has announced 29 probables for the 2012 Nehru Cup. Nepal will be replacing Kenya who opted to play an international friendly match against Jamaica instead the Nehru Cup in India.

Nepal coach Krishna Thapa will conduct a first training session on Sunday and he will be hoping to get his squad in shape just in time for the tournament. The 2012 Nehru Cup will feature hosts India, African giants Cameroon, Asian countries Syria and the Maldives besides Nepal.

Thapa is convinced that he will get the best out of his team during the preparation camp. “It depends upon how we train. We have limited time for the preparation but we can bring the players’ fitness level to par level,” Thapa told my colleagues at GoalNepal.com.

The tournament will kick-off in New Delhi on August 22.
