Santosh Trophy: Services rout Chattisgarh

Tamil Nadu rally to beat Mizoram

Services were on a goal-scoring spree when they thumped Chattisgarh 6-0 in their second match of the Quarterfinal Group C match at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack.

For Services, Farhad scored a hat-trick (4th, 33rd and 75th) while Thyagrajan scored a brace (62nd and 90th). Horin completed the rout in the 44th minute. With this victory, Services move to top of Group C with six points from two matches.

Haryana hold hosts Orissa
In another Group C match, hosts Orissa were held to a 1-1 draw by Haryana. Abhishek gave Haryana the lead as early as the 8th minute but Anta Murmur pulled it back for the hosts in the 44th minute. Orissa move to 4 points from 2 matches while Haryana are on one point from two matches.

Tamil Nadu rally to beat Mizoram
In a Group D quarterfinal clash at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhuwaneshwar, Tamil Nadu rallied to beat Mizoram 4-3. For Tamil Nadu, Jaykumar scored a brace in the 49th and the 78th minute while Murthy (38th) and Ramesh (92nd) scored one apiece.

For Mizoram, Lalrinpuia scored two goals – the first in the 2nd minute and the second in the 22nd minute. Laldiakulua scored the third goal in the 88th minute.

Courtsey the victory, Tamil Nadu move to 6 points from two matches while Mizoram stay on one point.

Railways scrape past Delhi
In another Group D match, Railways scraped past Delhi 2-1. After a barren first half, Lalmohan Hansda put Railways in the lead in the 82nd minute only for Bikash Rawat to restore parity in the 84th minute. Gurpreet Singh sealed the fate of the match in the 86th minute. Railways move to 4 points from two matches while Delhi are yet to open their account.
