AIFF Executive Committee meeting

AIFF Executive Committee meeting

The office-bearers of the All India Football Federation (AIFF) met at the Udyog Bhawan in the Capital on Monday under the Chairmanship of AIFF President Mr. Praful Patel.

The Committee reviewed the whole structure of the Bengal Premier League Soccer (PLS) and based on detailed clarifications given by the Indian Football Association (IFA), came to the conclusion that the Rules and Regulations as communicated for the conduct of such a League will be followed specially those relating to the registration and transfer of foreign players as per the FIFA TMS.

The President of the AIFF felt that as long as such Leagues follow all the right procedures and regulations, and help in the development of football in India, more such leagues may be encouraged in the future on an All-India basis.

Accordingly, the General Secretary of the Indian Football Association and the General Secretary of the All India Football Federation would meet on Tuesday (February 14) to ensure that all the right procedures are in place for the Player Transfer under FIFA TMS and necessary registration of the franchises with the respective District Associations.
