India drawn into tough AFC Challenge Cup group

India have been drawn into a tough Group B of the AFC Challenge Cup 2012 finals scheduled to take place in Nepal.

The Indian team will face DPR Korea, Tajikistan and Philippines according to the draw, which took place in Kathmandu on Thursday. Hosts Nepal will be joined by Turkmenistan, Maldives and Palestine in Group A.

Savio Medeira’s team will face Tajikistan in their first match on March 9, before they continue their AFC Challenge Cup 2012 campaign against the Philippines (March 11) and DPR Korea (March 13).

The semifinals will be played on March 16, while the final has been slated on March 19.
