The Indian national team has managed to score a late equaliser in their friendly match against Malaysia to record a 1-1 draw against the visitors.

Mohd Safiq Rahim gave the Malaysians the lead in the 42nd minute at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium, Sarusajai, Guwahati.

Syed Rahim Nabi scored the late equaliser for Team India in the 85th minute.

Savio Medeira and his team will face Malaysia in a second friendly match on Wednesday at the Saltlake Stadium, Kolkata.
